An outline doesn’t need highlighted terms, but it can improve clarity and organization. Highlighting key terms, main ideas, or important phrases helps in quickly identifying essential points. This is especially useful for structured writing, presentations, or study guides.
However, an effective outline primarily depends on clear headings, bullet points, and logical flow. If highlighting improves readability without cluttering the structure, it’s a useful addition—but not a requirement.
